Grow Your WhatsApp List with the ChatBubble and the Magic Links

Introduction


Growing your WhatsApp list helps you turn existing traffic and campaigns into a larger, more valuable audience you can re-engage for sales, Black Friday, product launches, and key brand moments.


The goal is to collect customers’ phone numbers and their explicit consent to be contacted on WhatsApp, so you can activate them later with high-performing campaigns.

Option 1: ChatBubble (Website Opt-ins)


The ChatBubble is a widget on your website that lets visitors opt in to WhatsApp by selecting pre-defined questions.

How to install the ChatBubble

  1. Go to List Growth → ChatBubble in your Coco AI dashboard or click HERE
  2. Click Install.
  3. You’ll be redirected to Shopify.
  4. Complete the ChatBubble setup directly in Shopify (design, placement, behavior).

Best for: always-on opt-in collection directly from your website.



Magic Links allow you to collect WhatsApp opt-ins from any customer touchpoint.


When a customer:

  • Clicks the CTA associated with the Magic Link, AND
  • Sends the associated pre-written keyword

Coco AI will:

  1. Ask for consent
  2. Opt the customer into WhatsApp
  3. Send an automated reply, optionally including a discount code



When creating a Magic Link, you define:

  • A Name (for internal tracking, e.g. Black Friday, Instagram Campaign)
  • A Keyword (case-insensitive)
  • A Reply message sent after opt-in
  • An optional Discount code inserted automatically in the message

Once saved, the Magic Link is active and ready to use.




Use Magic Links:

  • In popups (Klaviyo or any other tool)
  • In emails, SMS, social media, ads...
  • Anywhere you want to collect WhatsApp opt-ins from customers : it can even be an in store QR code!
