How to Create Segments in Coco AI
Segments are a great way to target the specific customers you want to reach in your messaging to make sure you are sending the right message to the right customer.
Why you should use Segments in CocoAI
- Segments allow you to provide a more personalized experience to specific parts of your audience based on their previous actions with your brand.
- You control how broad or tight the segment is. Want to target a very specific set of users who fit a specific criteria? Or target a large portion of your list?
- Segments allow you to boost ROI by targeting the subscribers that will respond to your message.
How to Create a Segment in CocoAI
- Navigate to the Segments Section of your CocoAI dashboard on the left hand side.
- Click on "Create Segment" in the top right hand corner.
Here is an example Segment. We're looking to create a segment of customers who have made a purchase in the last 14 days.
- Name your segment. Have a clear simple name that summarizes what the segment is so it's easy to find when you want to use it later. Some best practices (Add the date it was created/updated and the initials of the last person to update it so you know who to ask for definitions.
- Define Criteria. Select the parameters that you want to use to define your segment.
- Add Additional criteria: What other filters do you want to use to specify which subscribers will be apart of this segment.
- Check the Segment size: Look at how big the segment is. Adjust the criteria as needed to build the segment that fits your needs the best.
- Save the segment.
Using Segments in Icebreakers.
To use your Segments you can use them in Icebreakers to target subscribers.
- When you create an Icebreaker click on Segment.
- Then Select the Segment you want to use.
- We will preview the estimated Segment size that you will send the icebreaker to.*
*All segments estimates are only estimates since the size of a segment is dynamic and can change up until the moment you send the message.
