How to view my Coco AI invoices

Understanding Your Billing Overview


Here is a quick video explaining the pricing breakdown for the Cost dashboard you see in your main dashboard.

ere are 2 main types of Conversations you will see in your cost dashboard:

  1. Marketing: These are all outbound messages you initiate to customers (Automated Flows + Campaigns)
  2. Service: These are conversations the customer initiates with your brand.*

*We bill all Magic Link conversations as Marketing messages to allow you to promote your business within those messages..



Important info to know about Message Types:

  1. All customer responses to your messages within a 24-hour window are free. (ie. if a customer responds to your abandoned cart recovery message in 12 hours after you send it that response is free).
  2. All outbound messages are charged regardless of time period. (ie. If you send a customer a campaign then 4 hours later an abandoned cart automation you are charged 1x for each message).
  3. You are only charged for the messages you send. If WhatsApp for some reason does not send the Conversation to a customer you are not charged for that message.


There are 2 types of billing for all Coco Plans:

  1. Platform Fee: This is the monthly platform fee associated to your plan: Pro - $159
  2. Usage Fee: This is the number of conversations that WhatsApp charges your account to send messages to customers.


u can view the sum of your Conversation costs in the Coco Dashboard (right below the Revenue report) where you will see a breakdown of Conversation types by color:

  • Yellow: All Conversations fees
  • Blue: Marketing Conversations
  • Green: Service Conversations
  • Pink: Utility Conversations*

*Most accounts won't really utilize Utility conversations (Pink) since there aren't really any message you will send that utilize what Meta determines Utility messaging.



Understanding Your Shopify Invoices for Coco AI


To view the cost breakdown of Coco in your Shopify account you can view them by going to:

  1. Apps and Sales Channels
  2. Installed Apps
  3. Clicking on Coco AI
  4. You will be able to view the monthly invoices from Coco for the platform and Usage fees.

Refilling your Credit Balance

Coco AI works on a Credit Balance system based on your plan size, where your account is charged in increments of $10, $25 or $50 based on your plan size.


ch time you are charged your account balance refreshes for your next batch of Conversations. Because Shopify only allows us to bill usage fees in increments based on your plan you will see multiple increments of usage charges when you send messages.

Ie. if you are on a Pro plan and sent $100 worth of conversations in 1 month your invoice would be:

  • 1 Charge for $159/mo.
  • 4 charges of $25/mo.


Shopify will add all of Coco's charges to your next bill and collect all of the Coco AI related fees through Shopify. You won't be charges for Coco AI or any of the WhatsApp Conversations through another platform.
